How To Repair Plastic Roof Sheets

1. My clear plastic corrugated roof has a couple of holes in it. Access from above is impossible without scaffolding.
   The holes are irregular shape in the valleys of the corrugations. Longest about 2 inches.
   I have an idea nearly how to repair them - using cling motion picture and either silicon sealant or araldite.
   Whatsoever better ideas?
   If not which should be improve silicon or araldite?

4. If yous can't access from in a higher place how is the cling pic going to work, are you lot thinking of putting whatever on the cling film so pushing it up in to place??, if so forget it it'due south never going to work.

   But bite the bullet and supplant with proper triple wall sheeting at all-time or only some more corrugated to adjust.

5. you could perhaps have better luck using a pocket-size section of identical covering, cut equally a patch and adhered using clear silicone from below - held in place with a pole/prop/broom handle till information technology has gone off - if you put plenty goo on, and hold information technology in place with enough force you should notice the goo extrudes through the discontinuity, sealing your orifice

6. The problem with that though Sean, is surely information technology will heighten the problem, if every bit the OP says, it's immpossible to access from above, what always protrudes though the aperture will exist sticking up, trapping any water running towards information technology.
   

   I think in this example a bodge job is out of the question and a proper repair is the only right way to become about information technology.​

7. A "proper" repair means replacing almost 10/12 sq metres of roofing, sealing the edges to the surrounding roof using scaffolding and roofing ladders,. with risk of damage to surrounding roof. I don't recall so.

   I'll requite it a go with the silicon, which volition exist easier to remove if necessary, then try the araldite if the silicon fails.

   I had wondered about an "umbrella" patch inserted through the hole, opened and then clamped downwardly from beneath, simply I don't know what I could use for this.
